Setting up the club blog

Please bear with me as I set up a blog for Coniscliffe carving club. We meet every Tuesday from 7pm until 9pm at Bowburn Community Centre in Bowburn,  County Durham. We welcome new members and further details are to follow. Please note, this is a carving club not a class. Complete beginners are very welcome to try out the club free of charge for four weeks.  You'll be given a piece of wood and appointed a mentor for four weeks who will teach you the basics of woodcarving.  You will be allowed the use of a set of tools and a work table during club hours for the initial four weeks after which you will be required to buy your own carving equipment. 

While the blog is being set up please feel free to ask any questions in the comment section and someone will reply to your question.

 Last night we gained two new members. A smashing young couple came along and made a really good start on their first carving. It's great to see younger people coming along.  As ever , if anyone fancies coming along to meet us all and see whether carving is something you'd like to try you will be made very welcome.

A good night at club tonight

 It was nice to see some potential new club members tonight. They'd come along after reading about us in a local magazine. We've had a few newcomers these past few months. It's good to see younger people showing an interest.
